At the old house the gophers destroyed our yard. Then we found kittens under our shed. Now we have a new problem. Rabbits. We see them out and about in the neighborhood. We catch them eating our plants and grass. I don't know how many there are. We only see one at a time, but there have to be at least two.
Andy is always looking to catch one in the backyard so he can do some hunting. So he looks out there all of the time. Sometime tonight while we were having dinner and cleaning the dishes one of the rabbits left us a present. A fresh hole was dug in the yard and there are now 4 brand new baby rabbits there. Andy shot at the mom (before he realized she had just had babies) and it ran off. That is when he discovered the hole with the babies. The girls now have all of the rabbits in a box so Andy can take them "to a field" when he gets home.
In the meantime the girls are having a great time playing with them. See, I am letting them have 4 pets for about an hour!

Moving On
We made it to moving day! We closed on both houses on July 1. After closing we met Andy's parents at the new house. They drove up with a U-Haul full of furniture.
We got that unloaded just in time for the movers to show up. I am so glad we hired movers this time. Worth every penny! Those guys worked hard. They got to the old house just after 8:30 in the morning, and it was around 3:30 when they left. And the very last thing off of the truck was a sleeper sofa that had to go upstairs.
Andy's parents are hard workers. I still can't get over how much work we got done so quickly. On Saturday Robyn brought Libby and Mallory over to play. We ended the visit with a trip to the neighborhood pool.
The girls are really enjoying their new rooms. Caroline is spending hours in her room dancing to her music and playing with her ponies.
I absolutely love our new house! I just can't get over how much space we have. What a change! Here are some shots of the house.
Andy's dad flew out this morning. Tonight we sat out in the driveway to watch fireworks. I am amazed at how many people in the neighborhood were shooting them off. We had a great show without having to leave home.
Have I mentioned I love the new house? I am so grateful to Jim and Darlene for all of their hard work. It is amazing to me that we are as settled as we are after just 2 days.

We had our first meal in the new dining room.
