Madeline and the Bad Hat

We had a great night supporting the arts tonight. Kayla and I went with Grandma Sue, Donette, Nic, Gloria, and Olivia to see Madeline and the Bad Hat. It was a cute show. The kids had a great time. They were able to sit by themselves in the row in front of us. They each had a big bag of skittles and were very well behaved. After the show was over, they got autographs from all of the actors. Next time I will take a camera. I took some pics on my cell phone, but I have no idea how to get them from my phone to the computer!

Great Weather

We have had such wonderful weather the past two days. It has been so nice to be able to get out of the house! Caroline loves going outside (just like her "sissy"). Yesterday I told her to go get her coat and we would go outside. She literally starting jumping up and down clapping her little hands. So her feet don't actually leave the ground when she jumps, but you can tell that is what she is doing!

She always heads straight for the trampoline.

For some reason, socks and a coat have no place on
a trampoline. They are immediately taken off.

This is about as high as she jumps. Not bad.

She is having a great time!

Next, it is off to the slide. She makes a lot of trips up...

...and a lot of trips down. This is a great day!

And backyard play is not complete without spending a little bit of time playing in the house.

What a nice change to be back outside. I am very ready for spring. Not so ready for the hot summers. But no matter how long I have lived here, I can't get used to the cold winters. What can I say, I am a Texan!

My Sweet Girls

Kayla stayed home from school today. She had a fever last night and this morning. Other than the fever, which has been managed with Tylenol, she is feeling totally fine. I think we might even go run some errands later...maybe. There is something kind of nice about having a lazy day.

I got a kick out of this the other day. Kayla's class was working on the letter D. She had done this drawing at school, and I could not figure out who Dan was. I certainly did not recognize the picture. She looked at me like I was crazy and said "Dan, Uncle Dan, Emily's dad!" Only through the eyes of a child...
